Victorise is our sports-technology brand. Studio is its flagship: a web app that syncs video with GPS and sensor telemetry so athletes and coaches can see where time is won or lost and plan what to train next.
Context
Athletes already capture plenty of data: GPS watches, sensors, helmet and drone footage. The problem is that it lives in separate apps, so the question that matters (what happened in that corner, and why was it slower than last time?) takes an evening of scrubbing to answer.
Victorise has been our umbrella for sports-technology products since 2018. Studio is where the pieces come together: one place to observe a run, analyze it and plan the next session.
What we built
- Run telemetry synchronized with video, so every data point maps to a frame
- Training tools for solo athletes, teams and coaches, with role-based accounts
- One messaging model for run threads, team channels and direct messages, with a single inbox and unread state
- “Ask the Guide”, an AI assistant that explains the current view and can make allow-listed changes with preview, Apply and Undo, behind provider and cost controls
How it is built
A React front end on Firebase Functions and Firestore, with Stripe for billing. The whole app runs locally against emulators with seeded demo accounts for every role, so features are tested end to end before anything touches production.
The AI assistant is deliberately constrained. It can only touch allow-listed settings, every change is previewed and reversible, and it degrades gracefully when no AI key is configured. That is the difference between a demo and a product people trust with their training data.
